Karandi Omlette is omlette made in a tadke pan. The highlight is the Karandi Omlette is thicker and soft in the centre and crispier outside. It is had as a snack by itself. It is so yumm to have it on a cold day. Also it is a healthy filling snack. Usually onions added is more and it makes the dish more tasty.
The recipe is quite simple only that we need a tadka pan. I use the futura tadka pan and its really awesome and does not let the omlette stick. The futura tadka pan I use is the hard anodized one.
Onion- 1 cup chopped
Salt as per taste
1 tablespoon black pepper powder
1 teaspoon of oil per omlette
Makes: 2 karandi omlette
In a wide bowl add chopped onion and eggs.
Whisk them well.
Add salt and pepper and mix well.
Heat the futura hard anodized tadka pan with 1 teaspoon of oil.
When the pan gets heated simmer the flame to low on a small burner and pour the egg till half the height of the tadka pan.
Let it cook for 2 minutes now turn aside and cook for another 2 minutes.
Tranfer to plate and enjoy.
