Pepper Chicken Dry
We have a Kerala Club near our place which serves the best ever pepper chicken dry version. The taste is so awesome and I was in a verge of guessing the ingredients and got a equally good result. The Pepper Chicken with Gravy version is here.
Ingredients for Making Pepper Chicken Dry:
Curry Leaves- few
Ginger garlic paste- 1 tbsp
Green Chilly Paste | Sauce- 1 tbsp
Pepper powder- 3 tbsp
Oil- 100 ml
Cinnamon- 1 inch stick
Khus Khus (Poppy seeds) - 1 tsp
Salt as per taste
Method of cooking Pepper Chicken Dry:
Heat oil in a wok and fry cinnamon and khus khus.
Add thinly sliced onion anf fry well till it turns golden brown.
Add green chilly paste or green chilly sauce and ginger garlic paste.
Fry them well till the raw smell goes. Add finely chopped tomatoes.
Fry tomatoes well till it gets cooked completely cooked.
Add curry leaves and add chicken and cook well without adding any water.
Once the chicken gets completely cooked, continue cooking to make the water evapotate.
Now add pepper powder and put off the flame immediately.
Serve hot with Chicken Biriyani or roti.
