Cabbage Thoran | Cabbage Poriyal

Cabbage Thoran | Cabbage poriyal is a common dish in South Indian meals. Its so yummy with steaming rice and sambhar. I love to have cabbage half cooked and crisp. Adding shredded coconut adds more flavor to it. 


Ingredients:

Chopped cabbage- 1 cup
Shredded coconut- 5 tbsp
Oil-1 tsp
Mustard- 1 tsp
Chilly Powder- 1 tsp
Salt as per taste

Chop cabbage and set aside.
Inch the shredded coconut in a mixer grinder to powder it.
Heat oil in a wok and add mustard.
When mustard crackles add cabbage, salt and chilly powder and saute it till cabbage is half cooked and crunchy.
Then add the powdered coconut and fry for another 2 minutes.
Remove from wok and trasfer to serving bowl.
Enjoy with rice and Thakali Kara Kuzhambu.
