Biriyani Rice | Jeeraga samba - 2 cups
Water- 4 cups
Mushroom - 1 pack (200g)
Green Chilly- 2
Ginger Garlic Paste- 1 tbsp
Salt as per taste
Cinnamon- 1 inch piece-1
Wash rice and mushroom well.
Cut mushroom into slices and set aside.
Wash and chop green chillies and onion.
Heat oil in a pressure cooker.
Fry the spices, add green chillies and onion.
Add ginger garlic paste and salt.
Fry till the raw smell goes.
Add mushrooms and saute for a minute.
Add 4 cups of water. Check salt now and adjust.
Add rice and pressure cook for 3 whistles or 15 minutes in slow flame.
Once the pressure comes down, open the cooker stir the rice gently and enjoy with raita.
Note:This dish is less spicy and suitable for kids too.
