Beetroot Chutney

Beetroot chutney is a vegetable chutney yummy and liked by most of us. I do not like beetroot poriyal but I love beetroot chutney and beetroot rice. Now a days even my achu loves it and is excited to have it for its color. Its sweet and that is his like too. 


Ingredients:

Chopped beetroot- 1 cup
Garlic-5 pods
Grated coconut- 3 tbsp
Urad Dhall/Black Gram -1/2 cup
Green Chillies- 4
Oil- 2 tbsp

Method:
Beetroot Chutney
  • Heat a kadai with oil.
  • Fry black gram, garlic and green chillies till black gram turns golden brown.
  • Add beetroot and saute till beetroot is half cooked.
  • Let this fried ingredients cool down.
  • Grind this mixture with coconut and salt to a smooth paste.
  • Serve with dosa/Roti.
