Idichakka Gravy (Jackfruit)

Idichakka is Tender Jackfruit and is a very tasty dish. This tastes exactly like mutton. /i love this with steaming hot Brown Rice.
Ingredients:

Jackfruit (Unripe tender)- 1
Ginger garlic paste- 3 tbsp
Onion-3
Tomato-3
Garam masala- 1 tbsp
Chilli powder- 1 tbsp
Salt as per taste
Coriander leaves- few
Oil- 5 tbsp

Method:

  • Pressure cook jackfruit for 1 whistle after you cut them into cubes.
  • Crush the pressure cooked jackfruit into fine pieces using a mixer grinder.
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker.
  • Fry ginger garlic onion red chilli powder and garam masala well.
  • Add tomatoes and crushed jackfruit and pressure for 2 more whislte.
  • Add salt and coriander leaves and mix well.
  • Serve hot with white rice or chapati.
