Raw mango is everybody's favorite. Some sour raw mango with chilli powder and salt makes us drool. So this sour mango and salt combo has an inexplicable taste. This mango rice when made with sour mango is just yummy to the core. What say...


Raw mango- 3
Onion- 1
Red chilli-3
Mustard- 1 tsp
Curry leaves- few
Urad dhall- 1/2 cup
Jeera- 1 tsp
Oil- 5 tbsp
Salt as per taste
Cooked rice 2 cups

  •  Finely chop onion, mango and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a kadai.
  • Fry mustard, curry leaves, red chillies, jeera.
  • Add onion salt and fry them well.
  • Add mango and saute well for 5 minutes.
  • Put off the flame and mix hot rice.
  • Serve hot with some tomato pachadi.
