Coconut Sev

A new Restaurant open at my place is a Tiffin outlet and there they serve 18 varieties of Sev. It was just amazing. I loved them all. In a plate of sev they serve 5 katories of different varieties we are free to choose. I have tasted all 18 and will post each of it one after another. Lemon sev is posted, and today is coconut sev.


Ingredients:

Mustard- 1 tsp
Curry leaves- few
Green chillies- 2
Bengal gram- 1 tbsp
Salt as per taste
Sev- 1 cup
Shredded coconut- 1/2 cup
Coconut oil- 1 tbsp

Method:
Coconut Sev
  • Inch the shredded coconut into minute pieces in a mixer rinder.
  • Heat coconut oil in a kadai.
  • Fry curry leaves, mustard, green chillies.
  • Add coconut and salt and fry well till coconut turns light brown and roasted.
  • Add sev and mix well.
  • Serve hot with Vegetable kurma.

    We prepare Ottu shavige at home,and we make 2 kinds(sweet and spicy) of dishes out of it..
    Need to try this dish..
