Quick Tomato Chutney

This chutney is really really easy to make and is yummy to taste. Goes well with Idly, Dosa. Just see the recipe and enjoy...


Ingredients:

Onion- 1
Tomato- 2
Chilli powder- 1 tsp
Salt as per taste
Oil- 2 tbsp
Mustard- 1 tsp
Curry Leaves- Few

Method:

Quick Tomato Chutney

Quick Tomato Chutney
  • Cut onion and tomato into 4 and grind to a smooth paste using a mixer grinder. 
  • Now heat a kadai and add oil. 
  • When oil is well heated, add mustard. 
  • When mustard crackles add the ground paste and some water. 
  • Add chilly powder and salt and allow to boil for 10 minutes. 
  • You can adjust the boiling time as per the consistency you prefer. 
  • Switch off the stove and serve hot with steaming idly or crispy dosa.
  • TIP: no of onion and tomato in the ratio 1:2. i.e for one onion take 2 tomatoes.
