Milaga Dosa

This is a very healthy and tasty dish. The main taste is the onion and curry leaves. The Milaga Dosa requires no fermentation and can be easily prepared. My amma makes this often as evening snack and when we were kids we use to have them after schools. Even now I love to have this as plain or any Chutney of your choice.

Rice batter*
Onion- 4
Curry leaves- a handful
Chilli powder- 3 tbsp
Jeera- 1 tsp
Rock salt as required

For rice batter:
  • METHOD 1: Soak 2 glass of rice and grind to make a smooth paste. 
  • METHOD 2: Mix rice flour with water to make a batter.

Method of preperation of milaga dosa:
  • In a mixer grinder grind onion, curry leaves, jeera, chilli powder and salt to a coarse paste. 
  • Now add the paste to the batter and mix well. 
  • Heat tawa, add oil. Pour the batter and spread to form a circle. 
  • Let it become crisp now turn around and add some more oil. 
  • When both sides are crisp remove and serve hot with garlic chutney.
