Gobi Manchurian

Gobi Manchurian is a favorite dish for all. My family loves it. Once I made this for a tiny family get together and everyone was impressed. This is best suited with both rice and roti's.


Cauli flower- 3
Ginger paste- 2 tbsp
Garlic paste- 2 tbsp
Corn flour- 2 tbsp
Salt as per taste
Oil for deep frying


Soy sauce- 1 tbsp
Tomato ketchup- 2 tbsp
Chilli sauce/ chilli garlic sauce- 2 tbsp
Green chillies- 10
Spring onion- 1/2 cup
Onion- 1 cup (Finely chopped)
Garlic-1/2 cup (Finely chopped)
Sugar- 1 tbsp
Salt as per taste
Oil- 6 tbsp

  • Take 3 cauliflowers and take florets from them. Let the florets be quiet big.
  • Boil water with salt and dip cauliflowers for 2 minutes and drain.
  • Now cauliflower is clean.
  • Marinate cauliflower with ginger paste garlic paste and corn flower. (Do not add water).
  • Leave for 30 min.
  • Deep fry in oil and keep aside.
  • Take a kadai, heat 6 tbsp of oil.
  • Add garlic, onion and green chillies and fry them well.
  • Add soy sauce, chilli sauce, tomato ketchup, salt, sugar and fry well.
  • Add fried cauliflower, spring onion and mix well.
  • You can some fried capsicum too.
  • Serve hot with roti or fried rice.

Points to be Noted:
  • Mix the fried cauliflower with the sauce just before serving or the crispness of the cauliflower will go.
  • try not to skip spring onion as it adds a crunchy feel and and aroma to the dish.
