Thuar Dhall Chutney


Ingredients:

Thuar (red gram dal) dal- ¼ cup
onion- 5
Red chillies- 8
Garlic- 5 pods
Tamarind-small gooseberry sized
Salt-as required
Curry leaves- few
Oil- 1 tbsp+ 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds- ¼ tsp
Salt- As per taste
Asafoetida- 2 pinches

Method:

  • Fry curry leaves, Red Chilies, Thuar Dal, onion, garlic until golden brown using 1 tbsp oil.
  • Grind the roasted ingredients along with Salt until coarse chutney consistency in the mixer grinder..
  • Season Mustard, Cumin in little Oil, mix Asafetida.
