Paneer Capsicum Pulao

I tasted Paneer Pulao at my friends birthday party. Well I just loved it, though I tasted it for the first time. Then I was astonished by the Paneer Flavor in each Rice Granule and later I knew it from her that she Pressure cooked Paneer along with Rice. I was like Awwwww. I tried the same with some variations and I added Capsicum to it.

Capsicum - 1
Pudhina - 1 bunch leaves
Onion - 2 small
Garlic- 5 pods
Green Chillies - 3
Jeera - 1 tbsp
Paneer- 250 g
Rice- 2 cups
Water- 4 cups
Oil/Ghee- 5 tbsp

  • Cut onions and garlic as slices, slit green chillies, chop capsicum, make paneer into cubes, soak rice in some water for 15 min.
  • Heat a cooker add oil and ghee (here i have used 3 tbsp oil and 2 tbsp ghee). 
  • Add grlic, green chilli, onion and jeera. Fry for a couple of miutes and add pudhina and capsisum. 
  • Fry well, then add paneer. and fry then add salt. 
  • Now add 4 cups of water and then add rice. 
  • Close the cooker and let steam come out of the vent tube. 
  • When steam come, simmer the cooker, place the weight on the vent tube and allow to cook for 15 mins. After 15 min put off the flame and let the cooker cool down. 
  • Open the lid after removing the weight. Mix well and serve hot.
