Cauliflower Subji

I had some guests at home and they wanted a south Indian taste based curry with cauliflower. This was what I made and everyone loved it. Hope you will like it too.



Ingredients:

Cauliflower – 1
Onion- 2 finely chopped
Ginger garlic Paste- 2 tbsp
Tomato- 2 finely chopped
Chilly powder- 1 tsp
Coriander powder- 1 tsp
Jeera powder- 1 tsp
Salt- as required
Curry leaves- Few leaves

Method:

  • Heat a Kadai, add oil. 
  • When the oil gets heated up, add ginger garlic paste. 
  • Add onion, salt and fry well. 
  • Add tomatoes and fry well till oil oozes out.
  • Now add all powders and toss, add florets of cauliflower and close the lid and simmer to cook for 5 minutes. 
  • Open the lid and stri. Put off the fire and serve hot with chapattis or rotis.

Points to be noted:
  • For this gravy make the florets into tiny pieces.
  • If your giving it for kids you can add 1/2 cup warm milk and give. That will give a rich taste to the gravy.
